Airalo, the world’s leading eSIM platform, partnered with Stink Studios to launch a new global brand platform: Connection Means The World.


In a world where travellers often follow the same routes, take the same photos and seek out the same familiar comforts, Airalo gives people the freedom to move differently — to discover, navigate and experience a place more like a local.

To launch the platform, our hero film follows a traveller as she moves through five iconic destinations: Pisa, Paris, Tokyo, Berlin and a remote beach in Thailand. As our hero travels, the world transforms around her, each location dissolving seamlessly into the next to capture the feeling of being instantly and effortlessly connected wherever she goes.

To bring that feeling to life, we partnered with Stink’s own Traktor to build an ambitious, shape-shifting world in-camera. The film intentionally shows the stagehands, the cables, and the mechanics of each change, culminating in a penultimate scene where a Berlin club collapses to reveal that the set was built on a beach.

The outdoor campaign phase featured ten local artists who’ve created typographic treatments of their home cities and countries.

Each artist took inspiration from the signage, landmarks, and craft traditions of their home to create typographic artwork that celebrates what makes each destination unique.

The artwork for the print and digital OOH executions has been designed by Shun Sasaki (Tokyo), Bouk Ra (Paris), Adam Carter (London), Jon Contino (New York), Yeti Iglesias (Mexico), Dohee Kwon (Thailand), Laeticia Schwendi (Morocco), Ale Santos (Madrid) and Camilla Falsini (Rome).

Each artist has a unique style or specialism – from hand-lettering and typography to graphic design and experimental illustration. In this way, the OOH is inspired by and infused with local craftsmanship, which invites travellers to connect with culture for a truly authentic experience.

The overall result is a global integrated brand platform that elevates Airalo beyond the functional benefits of eSIMs, making a clear case for what connection really enables.
